Mapland creates an incredible learning environment - a massive topographical map of Scotland that is completely walkover. Mapland is a unique all school resource that appeals to all ages of primary and secondary school pupils…….putting Mapland together is a giant jigsaw puzzle in itself! It is a highly memorable experience that brings Geography alive right in your school. It is also an excellent teaching resource for other subject areas such as History, Mathematics and English.

Educational Resource Pack
  • An educational resource pack is included with Mapland hire 
  • The pack includes lesson plans and activities that can be run with Mapland. 
  • The activities are cross-curricular meeting the principles of A Curriculum for Excellence and are designed to engage pupils as active learners based on hands-on activities, fun learning and problem solving.
  • The lesson plans are designed for primary (P1-P7) and secondary school pupils (S1-S4) -  Click here for Lesson Plans.
  • The pack includes activity cards and props for the activities. 
  • Assembling (or part assembling) Mapland is a highly enjoyable activity and an unforgettable learning experience on Scottish Geography!
