SCOTLAND at the Outdoors Show Over 1000 people walked around Scotland at the Outdoors Show, NEC, Birmingham - 14th-16th March 2008 £849.66 raised for Scottish Mountain Rescue
Over
1000 people walked on Mapland Scotland at the Outdoors Show, with
many more admiring Scotland from outside the Ordnance Survey sponsored
viewing area.
Children and adults of all ages took part in map
reading activities and competitions, with many simply admiring Scotland
as never seen before.
Six winners received OS Select Maps for recognising the Shiant Islands in the Minch and the emptiest grid square in Scotland. Prizes were kindly sponsored by Ordnance Survey, Meridian Maps and Johewright.
Donations received from the viewing public raised £849.66 for Scottish Mountain Rescue.
