Hire Rates for Schools, Educational and Community Groups

Mapland Scotland is available for either a weekly or a 3-day hire period.

Delivered on	Tuesday (between 9am and 5pm)	Monday (between 9am and 5pm)
Days of use	Wednesday to Tuesday inclusive - 7 days including evenings and the weekend	Tuesday to Thursday inclusive - 3 days including evenings
Collected on	following Wednesday (between 9am and 5:30pm)	Friday (between 9am and 5:30pm)
Hire charge (ex. VAT)	£585	£480

Other local groups can also use Mapland while it is in your school, such as: after school clubs, Scouts, Brownies, Rambling Clubs and other local community groups - this may be a way you can spread the cost amongst several users. Note: Mapland must remain at your school and be supervised by a responsible person at all times (on agreement, we do make exceptions for the Scottish Islands).

For three or more consecutive weekly bookings in the same local authority area there is a 10% discount on the above weekly rate.

Over the week long hire period it is possible for approximately 680 pupils to experience Mapland (based on an hour long session for each class of 30), equating to a per pupil cost of 86p each.

What is included in the hire?

The giant walkover jigsaw map of Scotland.
The educational resource pack including lesson plans, props and activity cards.
Use of Mapland over the hire period including evenings and weekends (for weekly hire) e.g. for after school clubs etc.
Delivery and collection costs to Mainland Scotland. There is a carriage surcharge for schools in the islands - please contact us for a quote.
